At EQ – IQ we assemble and administer a battery of psychometric tests covering both Cognitive Capability and Personality/Emotional Capability and then match the candidate’s profile against the Inherent Capability Job Profile.
We provide our clients with a suite of reports to assist them in making a decision about the candidate’s fit with the job:

A Job Profile Report
This report rates the candidate against the Inherent Capabilities identified in the job profiling exercise. This makes it easy for the lay person to see to what extent the candidate is a fit with the Inherent Capabilities required by the position.
Insights Report
The Insights Report provides an in – depth discussion of the candidate’s Inherent Capability, providing HR and Line Managers with key insights into his cognitive and emotional capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and development and concludes with a summary and recommendations.
Special Alerts Report
If any derailers were identified, these are highlighted and discussed in our Special Alerts Report.
In our reports, we will always compare the candidate to the Job Profile and make a recommendation with regard to:
The candidate's overall fit with the cognitive (IQ) requirements of the role.
The candidate's overall fit with the personality and EQ requirements of the role.

The candidate's global fit with the role, taking into account both EQ and IQ.
Candidates are rated in each of these categories - IQ, EQ and Global Capability Fit on the scale to the right. This makes it easy to see to what extent he/she is:
- An IQ or cognitive fit with the role.
- An EQ or personality/emotional competence fit.
- A global fit with the Capability Requirements of the role.
