The Perfect Storm

Gwede was the MD of Powerbank, a national company, based in the Eastern Cape, that supplied energy products to various markets. National retailers were an under exploited sales channel and Gwede was keen to appoint a National Retail Sales Manager who could focus exclusively on the Retail Sales Channel and exploit this opportunity.
Gwede was assessed using a psychometric assessment battery as part of a management development exercise. Overall, his profile was a great fit with an MD role, both with respect to his cognitive capabilities and emotional capabilities.
