⦁ Be able to differentiate between the two most important types of Capability
⦁ Be able to explain why Capability is so important to individual and organisational performance
⦁ Know what category or class of assessment tools is used to assess Capability
At the end of this module you must be able to answer the following evaluation questions:
  1. Give four reasons as to why Capability is so important to individual and organizational performance
  2. Explain what we mean when we say “not everyone’s capability is equal”
  3. Explain what we mean when we say “Capabilities are the foundation for Competencies”
  4. Explain why it is relevant to consider that while Competencies can be developed, Capabilities cannot be increased
  5. Explain why it is relevant to consider that Capability produces predictable, default patterns of behaviour which don’t easily change
  6. Explain the role that capability plays in the phenomena of “drag, drain and drift” and “wind in your sails”
