Recap on Module 3
In Module 3 we defined what psychometric tests are. We explained that they are used to measure psychological constructs such as Cognitive Capability (IQ) and Personality/Emotional Capability (EQ). We explained some of the key properties of psychometric tests:
⦁ Validity
⦁ Reliability
⦁ Normative Measures

Regarding Normative Measures we explained concepts such as raw score, standard score, stanines and stens, and percentiles. We emphasised that psychometric assessments provide an objective measurement of human capabilities, not a subjective judgement. We touched on some of the legal and ethical considerations pertaining to psychometric tests.
In this module we will take a deep dive into EQ – personality and emotional capabilities.
